AIPP
The Italian Association for Plant Protection (Associazione Italiana per la Protezione delle Piante; AIPP) was founded in 1992 with the aim of disseminating up-to-date knowledge on the methods and means for the protection of plants against abiotic and biotic agents.
The AIPP has over 650 Associates who work in universities and research centers, in the phytosanitary services, in test facilities, and in agrochemical companies, or who provide services related to plant protection, field assistance, and dissemination of scientific information. The AIPP Associates are involved in a range of activities, from the identification of causal agents to the definition of the most appropriate management strategies, to provide a systematic approach to plant protection.

AIPP organises a list of meetings dealing with plant protection. Moreover, during 2023-24 was organised the ‘phytosanitary balance’ of main crops, delivered online and sometimes also in presence, whose video are available on YouTube channel. For young people, AIPP promotes also some awards for video, MSc thesis and PhD thesis dealing with plant protection.
