CONAF
CONAF “The Council of the National Order of Agronomists and Forestries” was established in 1929 by Royal Decree 2248.
It is based in Rome, representing the general interests of the profession of agronomist and forestry doctors.
Handles relations system with national and international institutions as well as with professionals and their organizations, it elaborates common guidelines, promotes and implements initiatives, supports the development and protection of the profession. At the local level there are 15 regional federations, 84 Provincial Associations of which 3 derived from provincial unifications (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Marche), each order has contacts with its members that in total in Italy are 20.000.
CONAF, at european and worldwide livel, is member of UEF (Union of european foresters); CEDIA (European confederation of agronomists associations); WAA-AMIA (World Association of Agronomist).
It is a member of the Committee for the Development of Public Green at MASE and of the “Tavolo Florovivaistico” of MASAF, at which he argued the importance of a sector that is too often not listened to.
In continuity with the elaboration of the Congress of Matera and that of Florence last October, it participate in the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASVIS) for the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda.
